ORBIT will no longer be available for use by SDUSD as of the start of 2020-2021 school year.
ORBIT has been replaced by a new Business Intelligence and Data Analytics platform named Hoonuit. Hoonuit is an experienced K-12 education partner that provides the right data insights, comprehensive dashboards and metrics to enhance your understanding of district data. Hoonuit provides timely, accurate, and comprehensive views of educational and business health relative to established goals and objectives. It empowers district leaders, educators and business staff with the data and analysis they need to make actionable decisions to allow for improved visibility into educational and business performance at all levels of the district. Hoonuit replaces manual, time-consuming data gathering techniques with technologies to better adapt to changing educational strategies and business requirements.
All dashboards that were used on a regular basis in ORBIT have been recreated in Hoonuit to allow for an easy transition to our new application and the dashboards on which you have learned to depend.
Data from SDUSD applications such as PowerSchool, PeopleSoft HCM and Finance, PowerSchool Special Programs, and a variety of other data sources are available based on your needs. District data are available for use in easy to access dashboards to view aggregate visualizations which are easily filtered to give customers the answers to questions using data-driven methodology and predictive analytics. Access to the various modules in Hoonuit is based on your job classification by default and can be modified based on your needs by filling out a DWA Security Request with approval from your manager or principal.
