Open Lab

The purpose of Open Lab is to provide a quiet place where SDUSD employees who have already attended a training class can get answers to specific questions, or to resolve specific issues they might have with PeopleSoft software.

Open Lab is not a class, nor is it a place to receive first-time training from an instructor. It is a place where you can sit with a PeopleSoft Instructor at a computer and receive 1-on-1 assistance with any particular issues you are having with a PeopleSoft application.

Do not attempt to register or enroll into an Open Lab session. No enrollment or appointments are necessary. Open Lab is conducted informally, on a first-come first-served basis.

The PeopleSoft trainers who run Open Lab can often spend as much time with you as you need, within a given session, but with one exception: If other district employees are in the Open Lab waiting for a turn with a trainer, then assistance must be limited to 15 minutes at a time, per person.

Open Lab is held in Classroom Lab 1 or Classroom Lab 2, in the lower parking lot bungalow, at the Fremont Training Center in Old Town. The entrance to our parking lot and bungalow building is at the corner of Congress Street and Arista.
