Lifetouch Photography Rebates

Colleagues,

Given some recent inquiries regarding the Lifetouch photography rebates, below is some guidance on how to record the transaction.

  • If you are currently receiving Lifetouch photography rebates, please post the check to a 4000 Other Income account. The students could use these proceeds accordingly. Please do not code these funds to the 3000 account since these funds were generated by the student body and should be used for their benefit in the current school year.
    • If the rebates are related to the senior portraits for the high schools, these specific rebates can be deposited to the ASB Senior Class account.
    • For unorganized ASBs, typically elementary and some K-8s, please connect with Anna Day and DeAndra Green to setup the 4000 and 6000 account series in Quickbooks.

  • I am currently coordinating with Strategic Sourcing and Contracts and the vendor to obtain a year-end report in order for all ASBs to book a receivable by June each year. More guidance to follow on this item.
