Scripps Mesa Conference Center Joint Occupancy Project
Dear San Diego Unified Colleagues;
As you may be aware, San Diego Unified has partnered with a developer to build high quality affordable housing, market rate housing, and a STEAM lab on our Scripps Mesa property. This partnership may help some of our employees looking for an affordable place to live near our schools.
Through this partnership, we want to give our employees an opportunity to apply for these highly sought-after affordable housing opportunities. Employees that qualify could save 50 percent or more on their monthly rent. Many of you have applied for an affordable unit following the first announcement made on July 1, 2022. If you have already applied, you do not need to reapply.
If you have not applied for an affordable unit, there is still one more opportunity to apply for one of the limited affordable units. New applicants, please see this flier for the household income qualifications to determine if you would be eligible for one of the affordable units and for instructions on how to apply. Qualifying staff applications must be received by August 19 by 5pm. The application can be found in the flier linked above. Qualifying staff will be selected for affordable units via random lottery. More information about the lottery can also be found in the flier linked above.
If your income is above the maximum household limit and you do not qualify for one of the affordable apartments, Essex Property Trust and Monarch Group still welcome the opportunity to have you join their brand-new community. Please visit the rental community website for more information.
San Diego Unified School District would like to continue connecting with you via email. If you prefer to be removed from our list and stop receiving all email messages distributed through SchoolMessenger, follow this link and confirm: Unsubscribe. Please note that if you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive emails from your child’s school.
