Enrollment Assistance

San Diego Unified School District
has Certified Enrollment Clerks to help enroll your student(s) in Medi-Cal or Covered California insurance and other support programs (like CalFresh.)

To contact the district's Certified Enrollment Clerks (CEC), call (619) 571-3332 for additional information to qualify or contact the school nurse at your child's school.

To learn about other ways to apply for CalFresh or other public benefits, call 2-1-1. 211 San Diego is a nonprofit with a locally staffed, multilingual call center that is available 24 hours a day, every day. 211 San Diego also maintains an online searchable Resource Database of trusted, free or low-cost services, including immediate and ongoing food assistance. Search online at 211sandiego.org.

If you need immediate food support, check out 211 San Diego, FindHelp.org, FreeFood.org, or call the National Hunger Hotline: 1-866-3-HUNGRY or 1-877-8-HAMBRE (for Spanish) Monday through Friday, 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. PST.
