Background Information
Classics 4 Kids provides unique music education for elementary school students in San Diego County. Our professional orchestra programs combine classical music with educational components such as literature, science and cultural exploration. Numerous studies show strong correlations between exposure to music and increased scores in science, math and reading, as well as decreased stress, improved social skills, and enhanced academic engagement. Yet schools continue to struggle with underfunding of music programs, particularly in low-income, Title 1 schools. Classics 4 Kids strives to bridge this gap in music education.
CSA Support
The Community Service Association, San Diego Unified School District, graciously supports the mission of Classics 4 Kids by providing transportation for disadvantaged schools, enabling participation in our unique music arts education. Together we provide meaningful music education to thousands of San Diego elementary students.
